Your data and your department

Plain answers about where your off-duty records live and who can see them · Last updated: October 1, 2026

The short version: your off-duty, extra duty and secondary-employment records sit in your own account. Your department cannot see them, because there is no such thing as a department account in Centurion Blue. A handful of things are shared with other people because you chose a feature that shares them, and every one of those is listed on this page.

What your department can see

Nothing. Centurion Blue is for individual officers. There are no department accounts, no supervisor view, and no report that goes to an agency. We are not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by any police department, and no department is a customer. On the Denver edition, your badge number is checked against the department roster when you register so the Job Exchange and Marketplace stay members only; that check does not send anything to the department. The one exception to all of this is a valid legal demand, such as a subpoena or court order, that we are required by law to answer. We do not volunteer information to any department or agency.

Who can see what

WhatWho can see it
Jobs you log, pay, hours, overtime, mileage, expenses, receipt photos, Tax Center details, uploaded W-2 and 1099 files, leave balances, Wellness entries, DIA log sheets, home addressYou. No other officer, no scheduler, no employer, no department.
Your W-9 on fileYou, and a scheduler whose roster you are on, who can download it to give to the employer for a job.
Shifts a scheduler assigns you, and your check in and check out on those shiftsYou and that scheduler. When the scheduler turned on GPS check in, the scheduler also sees where the check in was recorded. Other officers scheduled to work that job with you see your name, or your badge number if the roster has no name for you.
Coverage of a scheduled jobIf the scheduler creates a coverage link for the client or employer, anyone the scheduler gives that link to sees, for that job only, the name and badge number of each assigned officer and the check in and check out times.
Job Exchange posts (Denver edition)Other signed-in Denver members, with the name and phone number on the post.
Marketplace listings and messages (Denver edition)Listings are reviewed by our staff, then shown to other signed-in Denver members. Messages are seen by you and the member you are writing to.
Employer names and addresses on jobs you logThe employer's name, address and job type are added to a shared employer list so other officers get the same suggestion when they type. An address you picked from a Google suggestion is kept out of that list. Your name, your pay rate and your home address are not part of it.
Your private calendar link, if you create oneAnyone who has the link sees the jobs on your calendar, including the employer, address, times, hours, pay rate and notes, and your personal events if you turned those on. It is a long random address, so treat it like a password. You can reset the link in the app, which stops the old one working.
Your account as a wholeCenturion Blue support staff can open an account when that is needed to provide support, for example to fix a problem you report or to load your past jobs for a Premium Setup. They also review Denver badge numbers, Marketplace listings and Job Exchange posts that are held for approval.
Any of the aboveNever a police department. There are no department accounts.

Your data is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

Employer logins are separate. A business that hires through a scheduling officer can have an employer login on the website to send that scheduler requests. It is kept apart from officer accounts: it cannot open the officer app and cannot see officer data. It shows the business only its own requests and where each one stands.

Location

The app never tracks your location in the background. It reads your location once, at the moment you tap, in two places: GPS check in or check out on a scheduled shift where the scheduler turned that on, and Use my location in the DIA Log. A GPS check in is saved to that shift for your scheduler. A DIA Log lookup is used to find the place name and is not stored.

Sign-in protections

For the strongest setup, use a password you do not use anywhere else, turn on two-factor sign-in, and turn on App Lock on your phone.

The chat assistant and the receipt reader

The chat bubble is an automated assistant, not a person. What you type into it is sent to the service that runs it so it can answer, so do not put a Social Security number, a password, or anything else sensitive in the chat. The receipt reader sends the receipt photo to the same service to read the vendor, date and amount. Emails and texts to support are answered by a person.

Report a security problem

If you think you have found a security problem, or you think someone else has been in your account, email support@centurionblue.com with “Security” in the subject line, or text (303) 802-0272 (text only). Tell us what you saw and how to reproduce it, and please do not post it publicly or open anyone else's data to prove the point. A person reads these. If you think your password is known to someone else, reset it right away with Forgot password on the sign-in screen and turn on two-factor sign-in.
